Da Vinci vs. Newton Booted from the Theaters

After taking tens of thousands of dollars for in-theater advertising for the "Passion of the Christ", Regal Cinemedia declined to run our ad campaigns after over 100 hours of production.  It seems they were fine taking ads explicitly mentioning Christ when the movie attracted an evangelical and Catholic audience.

When it came to a movie that claimed all of Christendom is a hoax, rather than giving us an opportunity to pay top dollar to politely engage in the marketplace of ideas, they enforced a "no-Jesus" policy they had no problem ignoring for religious advertisers during the "Passion of the Christ".

For the first time in our history, our advertising was refused for content.

Regal Cinemedia manages the advertising for the Regal Cinema, AMC, and United Artists theater chains.

Our print piece was to be distributed in the theaters by church volunteers.  To download right click and "Save Target As..." DaVinci vs Newton.pdf (1.9 MB)

The video piece was to run in the "before the movie" advertising segment encouraging moviegoers to pick up a copy our brochure in the lobby.  To download the view our unfinished (no sound) video, right click and "Save Target As..."  Da Vinci Test.mov (4.8 MB)
